  1. In older times or few months back while taking any divorce, six months have to wait and give another chance to marriage, this period is over now. The Supreme court decided to wave off the six months waiting period, now if the couple do not want to be together and also not want to wait for 6 whole months can waive off the waiting and get the divorce. This is the major step taken by honorable Supreme court and you should know about it before applying for divorce.
  2. According to the law Section 24, known as the Hindu marriage act it says that the one person in the couple who were taking divorce to get  paid for the legal proceeding.
  3. According to Section 25, in Hindu marriages says that one party or one person provides monthly payment or entire money at a time to another as maintenance.
  4. Section 18 and Section 19 that regulates the maintenance and adoption act for the children adoption parent.
  5. Triple talaq in Muslims, is not legal or discontinued now or invalidated by the honorable Supreme court now. Its a kind of oral Talaq and against the rights of Muslim women who are abandoned by just saying three time talaq talaq talaq. Now this process is stopped and its the legal right of the center to apply this in entire India. 
  6. Also for the Christian women, honorable Supreme Court now take steps. In this any divorce granted by the church is not legal in India. Now just by the church rules no divorce is legal and those Christians want divorce should apply for the divorce in their area civil court.
  7. Also now a women can claim her share in non movable property of her husband, its legal and also can apply for that while applying for divorce.
